Gulf Marine Fabricators, acquired by Gulf Island Fabrication, Inc. in 2006, has two technologically advanced fabrication facilities in southeast Texas that encompass a total of 372 acres and are designed for manufacturing efficiency. Special yard features and equipment, such as an 86’ deep basin for offload of heavy ships, 600’x250’x40’ graving dock, 4,000-ton specialized lifting device, and deep water access to the Gulf of Mexico, make Gulf Marine Fabricators the fabricator of choice for large offshore structures. A number of specialty fabrication buildings are also located on-site, including a pipemill, NC plate, pipe, and beam cutting facilities, a deck assembly building, a shot blast building equipped with Rotoblast machinery, and a climate-controlled paint building.
The North Yard in Aransas Pass sits along the U.S. Intracoastal Waterway, three miles north of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel. The Gulf Marine Fabricators South Yard in Ingleside is located at the intersection of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway and the Corpus Christi Ship Channel. The 45’ deep Corpus Christi Ship Channel provides direct and unrestricted access to the Gulf of Mexico, making our location ideal for the safe and cost-effective assembly and delivery of projects critical to the oil and gas industry.
